Request for Quotation: Project Liaison, Tonga Parliament Building Project
The New Zealand High Commission in Nuku’alofa is advertising a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for a Project Liaison to support work on the reconstruction of Tonga’s new Fale Alea.
This is an 18 month contract role, for a maximum of three days per week, with potential for extension. The role is responsible for:
- Supporting the management and implementation of the Tonga Parliament Building Reconstruction Project, ensuring it is fit-for-purpose and climate-resilient.
- Facilitating communication and stakeholder engagement between the Government of Tonga, development partners, contractors, and other key parties.
- Coordinating operational tasks to ensure project efficiency and alignment with objectives.
- Working closely with the New Zealand High Commission in Nuku’alofa and the
Wellington-based Activity Manager to drive successful outcomes. Your response to the RFQ will be evaluated based on relevant skills and experience, including experience working in international development and managing projects, demonstrated ability to establish and maintain key stakeholder relationships, clear verbal and written communication in both Tongan and English, and an understanding of addressing cross-cutting issues in project delivery. Applicants must also be able to reside and work in Tonga.
