1. Groundskeeper (x2)

Operations Support Command

(Re-advertise)
  • Form 5 Tonga School Certificate or equivalent of Certificate Level 1.
Exceptions: Cleaners, Caretaker, Groundskeeper, Handymen, Watchmen, Laundry Assistants. (Basic literacy and numeracy skills will be required in the  absence of Secondary School).		 Band R
($8,586 - $12,880)

2. Mechanic

Corporate Services
  • Relevant Diploma Level 5 - TNQAB framework + 2 years’ Police work experience.
  • Relevant certificate level 4/trade/technical qualification + 3 years’ Police work experience.
  • Current Tonga Police employee with 5 years’ experience in a similar role (meeting other core competency and experience requirements specified in the job description + PMS scores of 3 or above for the past 2 consecutive years).
 Band N
($13,355 – 20,033)

3. Senior Mechanic (Admin Grade I)

Corporate Services

 Either/or:
  • Postgraduate qualification (TNQAB framework Level 8) + up to 1 year of relevant experience
  • Relevant degree + 1 year in a similar role or 3 years relevant work experience
  • Relevant diploma + 3 years in a similar role or 8 years’ relevant work experience.
  • Current Tonga Police employee with 5 years’ experience in a similar role (meeting other core competency and experience requirements specified in the job description + PMS scores of 3 or above for the past 2 consecutive years).
 Band L
($22,133 – 33,194)

4. Senior Assets & Facilities  Officer

Operations Support Command

 Either/or:
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification (Level 8 TNQAB framework) + at least 1 year  experience in a similar role
  • Relevant degree + 2 years in a similar role  or 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Relevant diploma + 4 years in a similar role or 10 years of relevant work experience.
  • Current Public Service or private sector employee with 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge and understanding of Tonga Police’s operational environment would be an advantage.
“Relevant” qualifications for this position include Project Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Public Policy, or similar from a recognized tertiary institution.		 Band J
($30,526 - $45,788)
