We work in Nuku'alofa – and serve a world-wide audience interested in Tongan news, serving 3 million page views to readers annually. Our archives hold over 15,000 articles and over 48,000 images. Our Matangi Tonga masthead was established in 1986, and we have been serving Tonga with quality journalism for 37 years.

ROLE: Advertising Representative - staff position in Nuku'alofa, Tonga
An opportunity to join Tonga's leading news website. This is a front office position.
You will need to have a good comprehension of English and Tongan, for communicating with advertising clients.
This position will suit someone who is experienced in working with sales accounts and customer service/ marketing.
The successful applicant will:
- Be responsible for email communications with clients.
- Handle over the counter enquiries from clients
- Track sales from inception to completion.
- Maintain sales invoicing and receipts
- Follow-up with overdue accounts
- Collaborate and work with a small team
- Have a current driver's licence.
Useful Skills:
- Computer literate, with accurate typing.
- Bookkeeping qualifications
- Previous experience in sales
- Confident email communicator
- Knowledge of front office and customer service
- Bi-lingual Tongan and English languages, an advantage
- Ability to meet deadlines
Personal qualities:
- Trustworthy and reliable
- Able to make a commitment to regular working hours
- Friendly personality
- Good team player
- Pays attention to relevant detail
