Minimum Requirements

1. Senior Economist

(Project and Aid Management Division)

Band J ($26,880 - $40,320)

  • Master's Degree with no working experience
  • Post Graduate Diploma with at least 1-year experience in a similar role or at least 3 years relevant working experience
  • Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years' experience in a similar role or at least 4 years relevant working experience

Qualifications accentable for this role must be in Commerce, Economics, or Business from a recognised educational institution.

2. Economist

(Economic Fiscal Policy Division)

Band L ($19,490 - $29,230)

  • Bachelor's degree with no working experience
  • Diploma Certificate with at least 2 years' experience in a similar role or at least 3 years relevant working experience

Qualifications accentable for this role must be in Commerce, Economics, or Business from a recognised educational institution.

3. Economist

(Financial Framework Division)

Band L ($19,490 -  $29,230)

  • Bachelor's degree with no working experience
  • Diploma Certificate with at least 2 years' experience in a similar role or at least 3 years relevant working experience

Qualifications accentable for this role must be in Commerce, Economics, or Business from a recognised educational institution.

4. Accountant

(Revenue & Vote Section, Treasury Division)

Band L ($19,490 - $29,230)

  • Bachelor's degree with no working experience
  • Diploma Certificate with at least 2 years' experience in a similar role or at least 3 years relevant working experience

Qualifications acceptable for this role must be in Accounting, Professional Accounting or Finance, Business or Commerce with emphasis in Accounting from a recognised educational institution.

5. Accountant

(Account Section, Treasury Division)

Band L ($19,490 - $29,230)

  • Bachelor's degree with no working experience
  • Diploma Certificate with at least 2 years' experience in a similar role or at least 3 years relevant working experience

Qualifications acceptable for this role must be in Accounting, Professional Accounting or Finance, Business or Commerce with emphasis in Accounting from a recognised educational institution.

6. System Administrator

(ICT Division)

Band L ($19,490 - $29,230)

  • Bachelor's Degree with no working experience
  • Diploma Certificate with at least 2 years' experience in a similar role or at least 3 years relevant working experience
Qualifications acceptable for this role must be in Information & Communication Technology, Computer Science, Computer Networking or Network Engineer & Administrator from a recognised educational institution.

7. Assistant Senior Accounting Officer

(Payroll Section, Treasury Division)

Band L ($19,490 - $29,230)

  • Relevant degree + up to 3 years' work experience
  • Relevant diploma+ 3 years' relevant work experience
  • Relevant certificate/trade/technical qualification + 5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Current TPS employee with 5 years' experience in a similar role (meeting other_core competency and experience requirements specified in the job description + PMS scores of 3 or above for the past 2 consecutive years)

8. Environment & Social Safeguard Consultant (Green Climate Fund)

  • Duration: 2 months
  • Attractive remuneration package

1. Education and Professional Qualification Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in environment, social science, economics or related technical fields.

2. Experience & Competencies Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Environment & Social Safeguard Policy writing.
  • Familiar with Environment & Social safeguards in Tonga.
  • Familiarity with the GCFs interim Environment & Social Safeguard standards (which are the International Finance Corporation's Performance Standards on Environmental and Social Sustainability) will be an advantage.
  • Work experience in socio-economic development policies.
  • Experience in report writing and expert computer skills.
  • Operational effectiveness and initiatives.
  • Focus on results and respond positively to feedback.
  • Consistently approach work with energy and positive mindset.
  • Demonstrate openness to change and ability to manage complexity
  • Team spirit and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a multi-cultural working environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure.

3. Language Required

  • Fluency in English is required and Tongan is an advantage.

9. Project Administration Consultant (Green Climate Fund)

  • Duration: 2 months
