JOB VACANCIES

Tonga Power Limited is a Public Enterprise responsible for the generation, distribution, and supply of electricity to consumers in Tonga. Applicants are invited to apply for the following positions;

Minimum Requirements

1.

Junior Power Station Technician

(Tongatapu)
  • A minimum of a Level 3 Trade Certificate from TIST or higher, or a relevant diploma in Electrical /Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 1-2 years of hands-on experience in power generation or related fields
  • Strong understanding of engineering practices, with  practical experience highly preferred.

Commitment to upholding Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) standards in all operations

2.

Faults Operator

(Tongatapu)
  • Completed at least secondary school education (Form 6 or equivalent).
  • Some work experience or demonstrated interest in Customer Service.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in both Tongan and English (written and verbal).

3.

Security Officer

(‘Eua Branch)
  • Must have at least two (2) years of work experience in security services, preferably within an industrial or utility environment.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Demonstrated reliability, honesty, and commitment to safety and security.
  • Physically fit and able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Basic communication skills in both Tongan and English
