Students in high spirits as Inter-College Sports returns [1]

Hundreds of students in high spirits gathered at the Teufaiva Outdoor Stadium for the 95th Inter-Collegiate sports competition today, April 21.

The excitement of this year's competition was further energised because it was cancelled last year, due to the COVID-19 emergency restrictions.

 Today's athletics competition included the 3000m for senior-open grades, 400m and 100m for all grades and 4x400m relay for inter-open grades. Other field events were also held simultaneously.

The four-days competition began on April 20 with over 10 secondary and middle schools from Tongatapu and some of the outer islands competing.

Medal presentations for completed events were awarded today.

The stadium was full of cheering crowds, on a beautiful sunny day.
