BSP supports Red Cross Disaster Relief Program [1]

Bank South Pacific (BSP) Tonga has donated $30,000 to Tonga Red Cross relief program to support the victims affected by Cyclone Gita.

Sione Taumoefolau, Secretary Generale for Tonga Red Cross Society said, “Red Cross Tonga has been at the forefront working tirelessly with government agencies, donors, NGO’s, churches and other organisations to provide much needed assistance.”

He thanked BSP for the support saying, “this will go a long way in assisting their work in hiring trucks to deliver aid to affected areas, feeding the volunteers and other needed support.”

BSP Tonga Country Head Daniel Henson when presenting the cheque said, "As the leading bank in the South Pacific, we believe we have a responsibility to help people in our communities and around our country."

"We're honoured to be able to get behind the work of Tonga Red Cross Society and support the people in this time of need,” he added
