The Nuku'alofa Outrigger Canoe Club has a new storage container for its equipment located on the Faua Wharf.
On March 16 the container was accepted by the club's patron Crown Prince Tupouto'a 'Ulukālala.
Sione Langi reported that the Dateline Shipping manager Fine Tohi and Alani Shaumkel, finance manager, donated the shipping container, from the Japanese Nippon Yusen Kaisha Line, to the Nuku'alofa Outrigger Canoe Club.
He said the the Crown Prince is an avid paddler and his team took third place in a recent Corporate Day Challenge to Pangaimotu Island.
The storage container will make it easier for the club to pursue their training and conduct club events.
