Paramatta 2 Blues, a women's rugby union team from Sydney visited Nuku'alofa and lost a friendly game to Tonga’s National Women's Rugby Team  24-19 on Saturday, 12 September at Tailulu.

The team’s visit is part of their ongoing support to promote women in rugby as well as participating in the first part of selection games for the Women Rugby Sevens team in preparation for the qualifiers in New Zealand in November and the Olympics in Rio, Brazil in August 2016.

Maopa Latu, Paramatta 2 Blues coach, said there are many talented women in rugby who wished to continue the exchange visits with other Tongan women's rugby clubs.

Parramatta’s captain Tautala Latu gave away 20 rugby balls to Tonga’s team.

Foketi Vaitai led the visiting team accompanied by members of the fundraising committee of the rugby club.
