VACANCIES

1) Head of Section – Corporate Finance

  • The HOS Corporate Finance plays a crucial role in identifying and generating new revenue streams, acting on potential revenue, negotiating deals and leading pitches.
  • Uses analytical approach and methodical thinking to manage a range of transactional and advisory works within the finance department. In charge of negotiating term with business financial service provider and arranging acquisition financing as necessary.
  • Defines appropriate capital structure for business arrangement while keeping in mind the business needs, risks management, taxation, accounting and legal/policy requirements.
  • Offers advice to Management on large financial matters, implementing business financial strategies and projects across business.
  • Long term strategies formulation, revenue budget setting processes, and identifying new revenue generation opportunities.
  • Monitor the Unit’s performance and maintain effective and productive communication with various divisions and stakeholders within the organization.

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance OR Business Administration. Master in Business Administration or Accounting is a bonus.
  • Professional Certification: CPA, CA or CMA.
  • Minimum three (3) years experience in corporate finance or accounting within a business environment.
  • Proven track record of managing teams, setting strategic objectives and achieving organizational goals.
  • Successful experience leading a financial/accounting team from beginning of a financial period to its close.
  • Sound knowledge of telecommunication services is an advantage.
  • Proficient in MS Office, accounting packages, project management and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills.

Remuneration

The successful applicant will be on a 6 months probationary period at salary scale/level H ($50,760 - $59,400) per annum, depending on qualification and experience.

2) Head of Section – Human Resource

  • The HOS_HR at Tonga Communications Corporation (TCC) will play a crucial role in strategic management of human resource in terms of planning, recruitment, training/coaching, performance management, remuneration and benefits, payroll and information system, and policy formation.
  • The HOS_HR will ensure successful execution of all HR best practice, from inception to completion, while monitoring the Unit’s performance and maintaining effective and productive communication with various divisions and stakeholders within the organization.

Qualification

  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resource or Business Management.
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in employment relations and/or administration.
  • Strong proficiency in computing tools such as MS Office and Payglobal.
  • Strong expertise in strategic HRM, interpersonal communication and leadership skills.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering HR projects on time and within budget.
  • Sound knowledge of telecommunication services.

Remuneration

Successful applicant will be on a 6 months probationary period at salary scale level H ($50,760 - $59,400) per annum depending on qualification and experience.

3) Head of Section – Property & Transport

  • The HOS Property_Transport at Tonga Communications Corporation (TCC) will play a crucial role in managing company assets focusing on properties and transportation.
  • The HOS Property_Transport will ensure successful management of TCC’s property and assets by overseeing land requirements, property insurance, CAPEX projects, maintenance, security and cleanliness of all buildings and company premises.
  • The HOS Property_Transport will oversee vehicle repairs and maintenance, preventative maintenance, and ensure vehicles remain operational and serviceable at all times.
  • The HOS Property_Transport will maintain productive unit performance through effective management of staff duties, attendance and leave.

Qualification

  • Bachelor Degree in Automotive Diagnostic, Business Management, or Property/Assets Management with 5 years work experience in property management and/or automotive mechanical.
  • Professional Diploma/Certification in Trade Automotive Mechanical with 5-10 years work experience in relevant field.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering property projects and vehicle maintenance within budget.
  • Sound knowledge of mechanical workshops and garages.
  • Ability to effectively manage unit performance and maintain communication with divisions and stakeholders.

Remuneration
