Request for Quotation (RFQ)
- The Government of Tonga has received financing from the World Bank (Bank) toward the cost of the Tonga Safe and Resilient Schools Project (TSRSP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the Construction of School Facilities on 'Eua and Ha'apai Islands at GMS Angaha (Lot 1) , GPS Ha’atu’a (Lot 3), GMS Ha’afeva (Lot 3) and Tailulu College HP (Lot 4).
- The Time for Completion for the whole of the Works shall be no longer than 9 months.
- The Ministry of Education and Training (Employer) now invites quotations from Contractors for the Works described in Annex 1: Works Requirements, attached to this RFQ. The quotation document in English is made available free of charge in electronic files only. Bidders to bring a flash stick for download at address below.
- A Pre-bid meeting shall take place at the following date, time and place: 10:00am local time at the Ministry of Education and Training (MET) Conference Room, on Friday 5th June , 2026.
- Eligible bidders should have experience in the construction of at least one contract of the nature and complexity equivalent to the Works described in this invitation, during the last three years and should provide evidence of financial resources to successfully complete the Works.
Submission of Quotations
- Quotations shall be submitted in the form attached at Annex 2 by hand, courier or post. Electronic submission (E-mailed) may be sent however a hardcopy must also be submitted at the address below. Quotations submitted as email attachments to be PDF format and include copies of scanned signed original Contractor Quotation Forms in the required format. To facilitate the procurement process, the Employer may require copies of the same quotations in other formats (such as in Word or Excel).
- The deadline for submission of Quotations is 2:00pm, 25 June 2026.
