The Contracting Entity acting on behalf of the Ministry of Health has received funding from the Government of Australia through the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), under the Tonga Health Systems Support Program Phase 3 (THSSP3), and intends to apply part of the proceeds for the following consulting services:
The Consulting Services (“the Services”) include the provision of multidisciplinary engineering consultancy services for the detailed design, preparation of technical specifications, drawings, reports, tender documentation, and construction phase administration for the remedial works of the Vaiola Hospital Sewerage System in Nuku’alofa, Kingdom of Tonga.
The Ministry of Health is looking for a suitably qualified multidisciplinary engineering consultancy firm with proven expertise in wastewater treatment systems, sewerage infrastructure rehabilitation, mechanical and electrical engineering, and construction contract administration. The scope includes assessment of the existing infrastructure, preparation of detailed remedial designs and technical specifications, development of tender documentation, and construction phase support services.
The Contracting Entity now invites eligible consulting firms (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they hav
e the required minimum qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services.
The shortlisting assessment shall be based on the following criteria:
- Legal registration and professional/regulatory registration provided.
- Minimum three (3) years’ proven experience in similar consultancy services.
- Relevant experience in wastewater/sewerage and detailed design consultancy services.
- Experience in preparation of drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
- Availability of suitably qualified multidisciplinary personnel.
- Evidence of relevant qualification for engineering
Following the evaluation of Expressions of Interests, shortlisted firms shall be invited to participate in the subsequent Request for Proposals (RFP) stage.
Consultants may associate with other firms in the form of a joint venture or a sub-consultancy to enhance their qualifications.
