• 3rd ENGINEER

• Motorman

The Friendly Islands Shipping Agency Ltd (FISA) is a Public Enterprise which established by the Government of Tonga in 2010. Its main role is to provide inter-island domestic sea transport services for the people Tonga. Applicants are invited to apply for the following positions;

No. Position Minimum Requirements
1 3rd Engineer– MV. ‘Otuanga’ofa

Education

Essential.

  • Class 4 Engineer from a recognised Tertiary Institute OR; a Higher certificate in Engineering from a recognized tertiary institute.
  • Ability to pass relevant seafarer medical tests
  • Must hold all mandatory certificates required.

Experience

Essential.

  • Must have completed not less than 12 months seagoing service on ships of more than 750KW, main engine
  • Knowledge of safety management systems, health and safety frameworks and best practice.
  • Knowledge on environmental protection requirements in relation to maritime industry
  • Broad experiences in leading a team, preferably in the maritime industry.
2 Motorman– MV. ‘Otuanga’ofa

Education

  • A Motorman license from a recognized Tertiary Institute.

Experience

Essential.

  • Must have completed not less than 12 months seagoing service on ships of more than 750KW, main engine.
  • Knowledge of safety management systems, health and safety frameworks and best practice.
  • Knowledge on environmental protection requirements in relation to maritime industry
  • Broad experiences in leading a team, preferably in the maritime industry.
