PUBLIC TENDER NOTICE
DISPOSAL OF OBSOLETE AND DAMAGED FIXED ASSETS
TENDER REFERENCE: PAT/AD/001/ 2026
Ports Authority Tonga (“the Authority”) invites interested bidders to bid for assets disposed as approved by the Board of Directors.
These disposal assets include heavy machinery, motor vehicles and electrical equipment that have reached the end of their useful life, no longer operational or have become technologically obsolete. All assets will be sold strictly on an “as is, where is” basis, without warranty or guarantee of any kind.
Interested bidders are strongly encouraged to inspect the assets prior to submitting your tender. Inspection will be conducted at the Ports Authority Tonga premises located at Queen Salote Wharf during normal working hours between 9:00am and 3:00pm from Monday to Friday within the advertised inspection period. Arrangements for inspection must be made in advance through the Finance Division to schedule an appropriate time and ensure that inspections are properly coordinated to avoid clashes of schedule.
Tenders must be submitted in sealed envelopes clearly marked “Tender for Asset Disposal” and must be addressed to:
Chief Executive Officer, Ports Authority Tonga, Vuna Road, Nuku’alofa.
All submissions must clearly state the bidding item, offered price in Tongan Pa’anga (TOP), bidder’s full contact details and must be signed and dated. Tender will be closed on the 27th of March 2026. Late submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances. The Authority reserves the right to withdraw any asset from the tender process and is not bound to provide reasons for its decision.
Successful bidders will be notified in writing and will be required to make full payment within the seven (7) working days from the date of awards prior to the release of the assets. All paid items must be removed from the Authority’s premises within the timeframe specified in the award letter.
