1. Cadet Journalist, staff position based in Nuku'alofa, Tonga
An opportunity to join a newsroom in Tonga. We are looking for a new graduate to help produce content for Matangi Tonga Online – Tonga's leading news website.
The successful applicant will:
- demonstrate an ability to write clearly,
- have a good knowledge of local media and social media,
- show a genuine interest in the community,
- hold certificate/s from recognised journalism training programme,
- hold current driver's licence.
Bi-lingual fluency in Tongan and English, an advantage.

2. Mid-level Journalist, short term contract in Nuku'alofa, Tonga.
If you are an experienced journalist looking for a short-term assignment for up to three months located in Nuku'alofa, Tonga, please contact us. The position will include writing and sub-editing in English, and mentoring junior writers. Remuneration based on experience.
Must have proven newsroom experience. Others need not apply.
