Position Minimum Requirements Salary

1. Assets and Facilities Officer (Admin Grade I)

Operations Support Command

 Either / Or
  • Relevant Diploma Level 5/6 TNQAB framework + up to 3 years relevant work experience
  • Relevant certificate level 4/trade/technical qualification + 3 years relevant work experience
Current TPS employee with 5 years of experience in a similar role (meeting other core competency and experience requirements specified in the job description + PMS scores of 3 or above for the past 2 consecutive years		 Band L

2. Senior Policy Officer (Senior Admin)

Chief of Staff Command

Either/or:

  • Relevant postgraduate qualification (Level 8 TNQAB framework) + at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Relevant degree + 3 years in a similar role or 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Relevant diploma + 5 years in a similar role or 7 years of relevant work experience.

Knowledge and understanding of the Tonga Police’s operational environment would be an advantage. “Relevant” qualifications for this position include Law, Public Policy, Public Administration, Business Administration or Management, Commerce, or similar from a recognized tertiary institution.

3. Policy Officer

Chief of Staff Command

 Either/or:
  • Relevant Bachelor qualification with no experience.
  • Relevant Diploma Level 5/6 Tonga National Qualifications and Accreditation Board (TNQAB) framework + up to 3 years’ relevant work experience.
  • Current public service employee with 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Tonga Police’s operational environment would be an advantage.
“Relevant” qualifications for this position include Law, Public Policy, Public Administration, Business Administration or Management, Commerce, or similar from a recognised tertiary institution.		 Band L

4. Planning Officer (Admin Grade I)

Chief of Staff Command

 Either/or:
  • Relevant degree + up to 3 years’ work experience. o Relevant Diploma + 3 years’ relevant work experience.
  • Relevant Certificate + 5 years’ relevant work experience or 3 years in a similar role.
  • Current Public Service or Private Sector employee with 5 years’ experience in planning or M&E role.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Tonga Police’s operational environment would be an advantage.
