There are two (2) fantastic opportunities for career advancement now available at the National Reserve Bank of Tonga:
1. Driver
This position is primarily required to provide administration services to support the efficiency and effectiveness of the Bank’s general operations and transportation requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the value and quality of the NRBT vehicle fleet by meeting all driving services required/schedule efficiently and timely. Furthermore, the successful candidate will be required to ensure that the Reserve Bank vehicles are complying with safety standards and regulatory requirements, including timely updates of quarterly licenses and certified warrants of fitness, as well as ensuring the vehicles are kept tidy and clean at all times and maintaining the vehicle logbooks and daily checklist registers at all times.
To qualify for this position, the candidate must have general knowledge of core driver functions with good oral communication skills (verbal & written) as well as capable of communicating in English. You must also have high school qualification with at least five (5) years of relevant experience.
2. Security Officer
The position reports to the Head of Security in the Security Unit. The successful candidates will be required to maintain physical security of the Bank premises, equipment and staff for the Reserve Bank buildings, tenants and visitors. In addition, the successful candidate will be required to act as the initial point of contact for visitors to Bank premises and manage initial contacts to meet the appropriate standards of customer service without compromising the Bank’s security measures.
To qualify for this position, the candidate must obtain a Pacific Senior Secondary Certificate (PSSC) or relevant qualification and at least three (3) years of relevant work experience as Security Guard in a recognized organization, military or police service. The candidate must be at the aged of 21 to 45. To succeed in this role, you should have a good written and oral English and Tongan and a good working knowledge of Customer Service.
