• Local Consultant - Employment Division
Applications are invited for a Local Consultant.
The Ministry of Trade and Economic Development (MTED) with the support of the International Labour Organization (ILO) is looking to recruit a qualified local consultant who is interested:
- To provide comprehensive analysis and recommendations on employment policies for Tonga, including an assessment of the existing frameworks, stakeholder engagement, and the development of policy recommendations.
- To provide operational and technical support to the roll-out of a business survey in Tongatapu, Ha’apai, and Vava’u to improve understandings of existing and future skills needs of the Tongan labour market.
The term of the assignment is 5 months and the successful applicant will be based at the head office of the MTED in Tongatapu. He or She will be expected to work closely with an international consultant, the Labour Division of the MTED and the ILO.
All applications are to be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, Ministry of Trade & Economic Development, Nuku’alofa, and received no later than 4:00pm, Monday 28th October 2024 (Tongan time).
