VACANCY

• Part-Time Driver

The United States Peace Corps seeks a Driver to serve as a contractor based in Nuku’alofa, Tonga, for a period of 14 weeks in support of the Peace Corps new Volunteer training program. This short-term position requires daily availability from June 3 through September 7, 2024.

Driver will deliver Peace Corps Trainees, guests, and staff to and from training sites as well as support the purchase and movement of food and supplies during the training period.

Minimum requirements for the position include:

  • A current, valid driver’s License;
  • A minimum of 2 years work experience as a paid driver
  • Ability to communicate with staff and volunteers by writing and speaking in both English and Tongan
  • A reputation for honesty and reliability from references
  • No criminal record
  • Availability from June 3 through September 7, 2024.

Interview

  • Selected applicants will be given a short interview at the Peace Corps Office followed by a brief driving test with Peace Corps’ full-time driver or General Services Manager for evaluation.
