VACANCIES

The Prime Minister’s Office hereby invites applicants for the following positions at the Prime Minister’s Office:

POST MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS SALARY BAND

Government Representatives

Niuatoputapu District

 Mandatory
  • Applicants who wish to apply must be suitably qualified and have served for many years in a management or administrative capacity at least at the higher middle level either in private or the public sector.
Desirable
  • Bachelor degree in management preferable (or related field) from a recognized institution with significant leadership and management or at least 10 years OR
  • Diploma in Management preferable (or related field) from a recognized institution with significant leadership and management experience for at least 15 years OR
  • Relevant Tertiary qualification in management preferable with significant leadership and management experience up to twenty (20) years or more.
Condition of Employment
  • The successful candidate will be employed for a period of three years under the Contract arrangement. In addition to the above, the officer will also be entitled to the benefits normally applied to Civil Servants working in the District.
 BAND I
($31,148 + 5% COLA -
$46,721 + 5% COLA)

Éua District

Mandatory

Director

Legal Unit, Leadership Division

  • PHD with at least one-year relevant working experience
  • Master’s Degree with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role OR at least 5 years relevant working experience
  • Post Graduate Diploma with at least 4 years’ experience in a similar role or at least 6 years relevant working experience
Qualifications acceptable for this role must be in Law from a recognized educational institution.		 BAND G
($38,934 + 5% COLA -
$58,401 + 5% COLA)

Senior Assistant Secretary

National Planning Division.

 Education and Qualification
  • Master’s Degree with no working experience
  • Post Graduate Diploma with at least 1 year experience in a similar role or at least 3 years relevant working experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role or at least 4 years relevant working experience
Qualifications acceptable for this role must be in Commerce, Economics, or Business from a recognized educational institution.		 BAND J

Economist

  • Diploma Certificate with at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role or at least 3 years relevant working experience

Daily Paid Beautification Worker

Governor’s Office, Ha’apai

 Education and Qualification
  • From 5 TSC or equivalent of Certificate Level 1
*exceptions: Cleaners, Caretakers, Groundskeepers, Handymen, Watchmen, Laundry Assistants (basic literacy and numeracy skills will be required in the absence of secondary school).		 Daily Rate of $33.60 per work day
