Country Manager - Tonga

Requirements

We are seeking applications from suitably qualified personnel for the role of Country Manager to join our PHAMA Plus team in Tonga. This is a new role and comes at an exciting time with a new phase of PHAMA Plus commencing. The Country Manager will lead and manage the team and the portfolio of program interventions. The role will work closely with private and public sector actors, to establish strategy, and implement flexible and effective mechanisms to achieve program outcomes. S/he will develop and apply business models that deliver profitability and sustainability, as well as improved gender and social inclusion outcomes and will work collaboratively with the PHAMA Plus Program Support Unit to ensure technical support and mentoring services. The Country Manager will provide client and service focused, responsive services which achieve a high level of internal and external stakeholder/partner satisfaction. 

The successful candidate will hold tertiary qualifications relating to trade, agriculture, science, business, economics or a similar analytical discipline. S/he will have experience managing export market systems development programs and/or complex donor programs, experience identifying business opportunities and developing successful and inclusive market development strategies in the rural/agricultural sector. S/he will have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and excellent time management skills. The successful candidate will have the ability to develop dynamic working relationships with a range of private sector, government and community stakeholders, possess high level analytical and leadership skills, be innovative and enthusiastic, and able to work under pressure. 

Note: full vaccination for COVID-19 is pre-requisite for working with DT Global.
