Senior Management role - Security Division

A Senior Management position is available with one of the country's most progressive group of companies

Our security division is Tonga's premier private security provider; due to continued growth we are looking for the right person to lead our physical security section. If you have the experience and skills to run a large manpower operation we want your leadership and management expertise.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage a large team of physical security staff
  • Communicate effectively with clients and other stakeholders
  • Responsible for hiring, discipline, annual reviews, and providing strong leadership to all physical security staff
  • Prepare S O P for operations and client service locations
  • Prepare & Coordinate shift rosters and promptly handle changes in relation to shifts / employee status
  • Respond promptly to after-hours incidents and law enforcement requests
  • Support staff and clients by providing ongoing training and the conduct of regular risk assessments
  • Respond to 24/7 emergency situations affecting staff and operations and / or client staff and locations
  • Coordinate the detection, investigation and processing of all criminal and disruptive activity against company and its clients
  • Conduct internal investigations and other case investigations as and when required
  • Conduct surveillance and security video reviews as and when required
  • Act as liaison with Tonga Police and other government authorities as required on all matters pertaining to protective services
  • Coordinate counselling support for company and client staff following any significant incident
  • Assist with other company division operations as required
  • Function as a liaison between company management, physical security staff, and client management
  • Other duties as assigned

All employees are responsible for internal controls in the performance of their assigned duties. Internal Control responsibilities are established in various policies, procedures, and documents, including international Codes of Conduct.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years management level experience in physical security / police / military
  • Able to work day or night depending on operational requirements at any time
  • Proven people management skills
  • Ability to lead a team
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organisational and multi-tasking skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Office management/administrative skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Good knowledge of mathematics and business accounts operation
  • Current Drivers Licence and proven driving skills day and night, all weather
  • Deep working knowledge of security operations, military or police criminal investigation and processing

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Physically fit
  • Effectively discern information and formulate appropriate action
  • Sit at a computer monitor and function efficiently for extended periods of time
  • Remain calm under pressure
  • Make correct decisions based on experience and situational awareness, often rapid decisions due to unfolding events
