The Office of the Ombudsman advises that the following vacancies are available for internal (i.e within the Government) and external (i.e from general public) applications:

Positions 

Salary Band 

Director Investigator (Re-advertise) 

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Essential: Bachelor Degree in law, government administration or relevant field with at least seven (7) years of relevant working experience
  • Desirable: Masters/ Postgraduate Degree in law, government administration or relevant field with 5 years of working experience in a senior management position 

Senior Investigation Officer (Re-advertise) 

Minimum Requirements: 

  • BA in a relevant field (from a TNQAB accredited institution) with 3 years relevant work experience 
  • DesirableLLB (from a TNQAB accredited institution) with 2 years relevant work experience 
  • Desirable - a registered Law Practitioner with the Supreme Court of Tonga or eligible to be registered 

Investigation Officer (Re-advertise) 

Minimum Requirements: 

  • BA in a relevant field (from a TNQAB accredited institution) 
  • DesirableLLB (from a TNQAB accredited institution) 
  • Desirable - a registered Law Practitioner with the Supreme Court of Tonga or eligible to be registered
