Deputy Speaker's case adjourned to November 25 [1]

The Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Tonga, Lord Tu'iha'ateiho, appeared at the Nuku’alofa Supreme Court yesterday, October 28.
Lord Tu’iha’ateiho who is charged with one count of possession of arms without a license appeared before Mr. Justice Charles Cato and had his case adjourned to 25 November, so the court can deal with legal issues.
The Crown Prosecutor Sione Sisifa said there was an objection from the defence to the wording of the indictment. The case was adjourned for counsel to consider the indictment, make legal arguments if necessary and for the accused to enter a plea, he said.
In the meantime, tentative trial dates was also fixed for next year on November 24-28, 2014.
The accused was represented by Kahungunu Barron-Afeaki.
On September 30, Magistrate Salesi Mafi committed the noble's case to the Supreme Court for trial after ruling there was sufficient evidence.
