Tonga to play Scotland Oct 29 in Rugby League World Cup [1]

Tonga will play Scotland on October 29, in its first pool game of the Rugby League World Cup. The Mate Ma’a Tonga will come toe to toe with Scotland’s “Bravehearts” in the English city of Workington, with kick-off time 8:00pm UK time (Tonga time 9:00am Wednesday October 30).
The Rugby League World Cup kicked-off on Saturday 26 October with the opener between Australia and England in Cardiff, Wales. Australia won 28 – 20.
Tonga’s pool includes Scotland and Italy. Tonga’s final pool fixture will be against Italy, in Halifax city on November 10. A non-pool fixture against the Cook Islands will take place in the City of Leigh November 5.
Only the best team from Tonga’s pool will be allowed to advance into the quarter-finals. Mate Ma’a Tonga is highly favoured to top its pool, however both Scotland and Italy have stated their confidence in winning.
If the the Mate Ma’a Tonga were to win their pool, they would advance to the quarter-finals where they will play the best team of Group B (favoured to be New Zealand).
