Tonga names squad for Rugby League World Cup [1]

The Mate Ma’a Tonga has announced a 33-man training squad for the upcoming Rugby League World Cup next month.
The training squad enlists an impressive array of well-known NRL players, some of whom have represented New Zealand and Australia in the past. Ex-Kangaroo and ex-Kiwi players include Brent Kite, Fuifui Moimoi, Willie Tonga and Sika Manu.
The official team selection for the world cup will be announced after the NRL grand final in two-week’s time.
The 2013 Rugby League World Cup is being hosted in England and will kick-off on October 28.
Tonga’s two pool opponents Italy and Scotland have already announced their squads for the world cup. Both have formidable line-ups, the Italians have 12 NRL players in their team while the Scots boast a team filled with players from the European Super League tournament.
