Canada defeats Tonga U20’s in Chile [1]

The Tongan U20’s team has stumbled in the opener of the Junior World Rugby Trophy with a 24 – 6 loss to Canada yesterday.

Tonga failed to keep up with team Canada who ran in two tries, one for each half. Canada lead the first half 11 – 3.

The game was the opener of the 2013 Junior World Rugby Trophy in Temuco, Chile. The competition is a second-tier world championship for under-20 national teams representing eight countries, and was set up in 2008 for countries that are not participating in the Under 20 Rugby World Cup.

Tonga’s pool for the cup consists of Canada, Uruguay and Japan. Tonga’s next game will be against Uruguay this Saturday June 1
