Hon Sinaitakala, leaving Queen Salote College

A special farewell service for a Queen Salote College teacher Hon. Sinaitakala Fakafanua who will wed Tonga's Crown Prince in July, was held at the college hall yesterday, June 22, by staff and students.

Hon. Sinaitakala has been a teacher at the all-girls college for the past two years, and her departure yesterday was to prepare for her wedding with Crown Prince Tupouto'a 'Ulukalala on July 12 at the Centenary Church, Saione, Nuku'alofa.

A spokesperson for Queen Salote College, said that initially it was going to be just a farewell with prayers and speeches, but then they decided to have a bit of a fun, so they got the brass band out and they sent off Sinaitakala with a float parade.

Crown Prince Tupouto'a 'Ulukalala, the first in line to the Tongan throne, is the eldest son of HM King Tupou VI and Queen Nanasipau'u Tuku'aho.

Hon. Sinaitakala is the only daughter of Princess 'Ofeina 'e he Langi Fakafanua and the late Lord Fakafanua (Tutoatasi).
