USP leases 14 acres of land in Tonga [1]

The signing of a lease agreement for the University of the South Pacific to lease 14 acres of Tonga government land on Saturday, June 9, marked the beginning of an expansion of the operation of the USP in Tonga.
The signing of the lease agreement by the Vice Chancellor and the President of the University of the South Pacific, Professor Rajesh Chandra was witnessed by the director of the Tonga Campus, Dr 'Ana Koloto in the presence of Tonga's Minister of Education, Dr 'Ana Taufe'ulungaki.
Professor Chandra praised the effort that Dr 'Ana Taufe'ulungaki and Dr 'Ana Koloto had made to advance university education in Tonga.
Dr Koloto said that the expansion of the USP Tonga Campus would raise the status of the University of the South Pacific in the eyes of Tongans "who some how don't give the USP the credit that it deserves."
The signing of the lease concluded the first USP graduation ceremony in Tonga on a high note.
