King George Tupou V's burial date to be confirmed [1]

His Majesty King Tupou VI wants the late King HM King George Tupou V to be buried a day earlier, on Tuesday, 27 March, instead of Wednesday, March 28 as it was officially announced yesterday by the Cabinet Committee that was specially set up to program the State Funeral.
Lord Vaea, the chairman of the Cabinet Committee said this afternoon March 21, that because of the late preference by King Tupou VI an exact date for the burial of King George Tupou will be confirmed later in the week.
The body of the late king is still expected to arrive at Fua'amotu International Airport from Hong Kong on Monday morning, March 26.
Paula Ma'u, the Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Communication said the Governor General of Australia have confirmed her attendance at the state funeral while other members of Royal families and guests from abroad will be confirmed later.
Meanwhile the Nuku'alofa Central Business District is switching on to its State Funeral preparation mode, and works are being carried out to prepare and to decorate the town for the state funeral.
Road work, to apply asphalt to all road in the Nuku'alofa Central Business District should be completed by the weekend.
