High schools and colleges in Tongatapu have held their sports days over the last two weeks to choose their best athletes for the upcoming Inter College Sports to be held on March 31 -April 2. The hot summer days with temperatures around 30 celcius did not dampen the enthusiasm of the competitors or their supporters.

Our photographer Linny Folau visited Queen Salote College who finished their Sports Days on Friday after two days of athletic events. The students were divided into six houses where by the girls competed with each other in track and field, hurdles, long jump, high jump and discus throwing. Tonga High School, '‘Api Fo'’ou College, and other high schools completed their sports days last week.
