Tonga A beaten by Crusaders Knights [1]

THE Tonga A national rugby team was beaten by the Crusader Knights 36-18 at the Lincoln University, Christchurch, yesterday evening, March 14.
It was the Tonga A's third and final game of the New Zealand leg of IRB Pacific Rugby Cup 2011. Unfortunately for Tonga A it lost all its three games in New Zealand. It was beaten by the Chiefs Development XV 50-13 at Pukekohe on March 4, and again beaten by the Hurricane Development XV 41-10 in Wellington on March 9, and was finally put under the swords of the Crusaders Knights yesterday evening.
After the New Zealand leg the points table of the IRB Pacific Rugby Cup 2011, Tonga A is in third place with six points behind the Fiji Warriors with 14 points, and the Samoa A is leading with 19 points.
The Fijian Warriors did not win any of their three games in New Zealand either, but after the Australian leg of the IRB Pacific Rugby Cup 2011, Fiji Warriors was leading with nine points, followed by the Samoa A with eight points and Tonga A with six points.
The three Island teams will return to Fiji for the final leg of the IRB Pacific Rugby Cup 2011 with a round robin. On Saturday, March 19, Tonga A will play against the Fijian Warriors in Lautoka. On Tuesday March 22 the Fijian Warriors will play the Samoa A at Lautoka, then on Satuday March 26 Tonga A will play against the Samoa A at Singatoka.
