WITH less than two weeks to go before the 'Ikale Tahi meets the New Zealand All Blacks on Friday, September 9 the public support has been tremendous in Nuku'alofa where, today, Tonga High School went all mad red and white, in a mufti day.
Over 1,000 students and teachers were dressed in red and white to collect money for the national rugby team.
The Acting Deputy Principal, Jenny Taufa, told Matangi Tonga Online that the mufti day required each student to donate $1 pa'anga for the team.
She said THS only holds mufti days on special occasions, and today was a special occasion for the 'Ikale Tahi. "And it was also a direction from the Ministry of Education as a gesture of support to our national rugby team," she said.
