A Tonga National Development Rugby Team will leave Tonga on February 28 for a short tour of New Zealand and Australia.


The Secretary General of the Tonga Rugby Union , Sakopo Lolohea said on January 13 that 35 players had been selected and were currently in training, and they will go into camp for a week before they depart for New Zealand.

Their first game will be against an Auckland Blue...’s development team on March 4. In Australia they will meet a New South Wales Academy team on March 9, followed with a match against a Sydney development team on March 13 and the Brumby Runners on March 19.

The team will return to Tonga on March 20.
