TheE Tongan National Olympic Committee has announced that a 10-member contingent for the Beijing Olympic will include three competitors.

Takitoa Taumoepeau, the Acting Secretary General of the Tonga Amateur Sports Association, said that the Tongan contingent will be led by the team leader, Semisi Fonua.

The three athletes are: 'Ana Po'uhila, a shot put thrower, 'Aisea Tohi, an athlete and Maamaloa Lolohea, a weight lifter.

The remainer of he contingent is made up of officials: Sione Taumoepeau, Chef de Mission; Lisimoni Kami, team doctor; Taniela Fusimalohi, Press Attache; Sione Po'uliva'ati, Physio; Nehemaia Kakaufaka'atu'i, coach; and Didier Poppe, a personal coach.
