'Ikale Tahi float parade celebrates back to back wins [1]

The ‘Ikale Tahi rugby team joined a parade in Nuku’alofa today –celebrating Tonga's back-to-back wins against Canada.

Their families and supporters gathered at the Taufa’ahau Wharf at the start of the happy parade, that was not dampened by wet weather.

Nuku'alofa was decked in red and white while loud music from many vehicles with booming speakers accompanied floats supported by businesses, government ministries, families and fans.

The ‘Ikale Tahi will now retreat, rest and prepare for the World Cup Championship in France in September. Their first match will be against Ireland on 16 September at Nantes, France.
