Nuku’alofa Government Middle School (GMS) held their inter-house sports on 1 March 2023, on yet another bright sunny day. After weeks of rain at the start of the school year in Nuku’alofa, the students of GMS Nuku’alofa were thrilled to be back on the tracks.

The sports event was filled with a lot of excitement as the parents, students and teachers cheered on the young athletes, mostly running in socks or barefoot.

The one-day competition included track and other sports, with a focus on Form 1 and Form 2, who will be represented in the upcoming Inter-college sports event.

Some secondary schools have held their inter-house sports over the last two-weeks in preparation for the annual Inter-College Athletics competition, which is being planned to return in April, after a hiatus of two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
