HM King Tupou VI and HM Queen Nanasipau'u with HRH Crown Prince Tupouto'a-'Ulukalala, HRH Crown Princess Sinaitakala and their children Prince Taufa'ahau Manumataongo, Princess Halaevalu Mata'aho, and Princess Nanasipau'u Eliana with HRH Princess Angelika Latufuipeka at ANU in 2018.

Tonga will observe a public holiday on Thursday, September 17 for the 35th birthday of Crown Prince Tupoutoʻa ʻUlukalala.

The Crown Prince is the eldest son HM King Tupou VI and Queen Nanasipau'u. The Crown Prince became the heir apparent in 2012, when his father ascended to the throne.

He is currently residing in Canberra, Australia with Crown Princess Sinaitakala Tukuʻaho and their three children as he studies for a Master of Diplomacy, at the Australian National University (ANU).

In 2018, he attaineda Master of Military and Defence also accredited by ANU.
