Four arrested in drugs bust [1]

Four people have been arrested and charged after packs of methamphetamine and cannabis were seized at a home in Sopu, on October 4.
Police Drug Enforcement Taskforce made the drugs bust and arrested the three men and one woman.
The accused were arrested with 10 packs of methamphetamine (6.36 grams), 6.27 grams of cannabis, one pistol air gun, two litres of home brew with more than $3,000 pa’anga cash.
Deputy Police Commissioner Pelenatita Fe’ao Vaisuai said today, they had been charged with possession of illicit drugs, a firearm without a license and intoxicating liquor.
“We will continue to do everything we can to disrupt the supply of illicit drugs and prevent further harm to our community. We encourage anyone who may have any information about drug-related offending to contact Police.”
The accused who remain in custody, includes two men aged 34-38 years from Sopu, a 21-year-old from Nualei and a woman aged 24 years from Kolofo’ou.
