HM King Tupou VI and Queen Nanasipau’u bid farewell to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at the Royal Palace in Nuku'alofa after mid-day yesterday, Friday, 26 October, at the end of a whirlwind visit.

They posed for a fomal portrait on the seafront verandah of the Palace.

The Duke and the Duchess arrived at Fua'amotu on a charter flight at 3.30pm of Thursday, 25 October and left early on Friday afternoon.

During their one night stop over the Duke and Duchess of Sussex met a wide section of the Tongan community, and it appeared to thoroughly enjoy their brief visit to Tonga.
