Princess Taone laid to rest [1]

Princess Lavinia-Mata-‘o Taone (66) was laid to rest on Saturday, June 30 at the Langi ko Huelo ‘o Hangai Tokelau in Tokomololo, Tongatapu.
King Tupou VI, Queen Nanasipau’u, Princess Pilolevu Tuita and other members of the Royal Family attended.
Following the arrival of the royal funeral cortege from Auckland on Friday, June 29 the vigil (takipo) was held at the Villa residence before she was taken to her final resting place on Saturday morning, June 30.
A first cousin of the King, Princess Taone was married to Lord Ma’afu Tukui'aulahi and had two children, Hon Tevita ‘Unga Ma'afu and Hon Fangaake as well as grandchildren.
She passed away in Auckland where she had lived for many years.
