Writs of Election to be returned [1]

The Return of the Writs of Election to the King is expected to be returned sooner then the required date of November 30, said the Supervisor of Elections Pita Vuki.
This is important because the start of the process to form a government by electing a Prime Minister depends on when the Writs of the Election are returned to the King, which must be done on or before November 30.
After the election, seven-days are allowed for candidates to demand a recount.
Pita said today he had not received any recount request or complaints. "I expect to return the writs sooner," he said.
Meanwhile, the process is that within 10-days following the return of the writs, an Interim Speaker (who shall be appointed by the King 7-days from the declaration of the results on November 16) will invite elected representatives to submit nominations for the Prime Minister.
Each nomination should be seconded by two MPs or two elected representatives.
Nominations shall be submitted to the Interim Speaker within 14-days from the date of the Return of the Writ.
The Prime Minister will be elected in a secret ballot.
After the ballot, the Interim Speaker shall report the result to the King and then Lord Chamberlain summons the Prime Minister designate to be appointed by the King.
