Wales have defeated the ‘Ikale Tahi with a convincing score line 24 -6 at Eden Park in Auckland tonight, June 16.

The game was marred with penalties and affected by rain. Wales took the lead 8 – 3 at halftime with a try scored by Alex Cuthbert.

In the second-half, Sona Takulua converted a penalty kick to narrow the score line to 8 – 6. Wales pulled away with three more penalty conversions, leading 17 – 6.

A controversial penalty try converted in the final minute put Wales ahead 24 – 6.

‘Ikale Tahi Captain, Siale Piutau said at the end of the match “We made too many penalties at critical times and Wales took their points when they needed it.
