Construction for Teufaiva Stadium [1]

The construction of the Teufaiva Outdoor Stadium is expected to officially start after a contract is signed between the Government of Tonga and New Zealand contractor sometime this week.

The contractor is Field Drainage Specialists Ltd. and the contract is to be signed with government after finalising logistics. The construction work is expected to be done in May this year, confirmed the Sports Division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs today.

In the meantime, it is expected that the Wales vs Tonga rugby game that was planned for Teufaiva is now diverted to be held in Auckland on 17 June.
