Tonga's Chef de Mission for Tonga National Olympic Team, Takitoa Taumoepeau, reports that two results are in with three more to come. All the team are well and fine.

Archery

Sifa Taumoepeau was eliminated today by the Italian, Marco Galiazzo who was ranked No.3 in the final standing in the preliminary ranking round. Sifa managed 122pts against the Italian 156pts. A windy day here in Athens but the gap showed a long way for Tonga to compete in this level.

Judo

'Akapei Latu had a bye in the 1st round of the Men's 73kg, but lost to Nouredinne Yagoubi of Turkey in the 2nd round. A very good effort in a very tight match.

Athletics

Coach Dragan Ivanov and 'Ana Po'uhila have left this morning to Olympia. 'Ana will compete in the shot put on Wednesday morning 08:30hr Athens time.

Filipo Muller (100 metres) has been given a training schedule by Dragan for his event later on the week.

Boxing

Ma'afu Hawke continues with his training and preparation for Wednesday night showdown with American Jason Estrada. Ma'afu fights Jason Estrada of USA in the Men's Super Heavy Weight (+91 kg) on 18 August at 22:45 Athens time.See draw and schedule.
