Floral kahoa and lolly-leis at colourful tertiary graduation [1]

Wearing colourful floral leis, as well as garlands of sugary lollies more than 300 graduates from three Government Post Secondary and Higher Education Institutes received their certificates and diplomas today, December 7, during a Combined Awards Ceremony, at Queen Salote Memorial Hall.
Crown Tupouto’a ‘Ulukalala was guest of honour at the 20th Awards Ceremony for Tonga Institute of Education (TIOE), Tonga Institute of Science and Technology (TIST) and Tonga Institute of Higher Education (TIHE).
The Crown Prince congratulated the students for achieving their academic goals, saying it was not only a blessing for them but also for Tonga.
TIHE produced the most graduates with more than 200 awarded certificates and diplomas in various programs. It's Pahu branch awarded certificates and diplomas in media and journalism, accounting and information technology and agriculture.
The TIHE Fokololo Branch awarded certificates in agricultural science and diplomas in agricultural science, hospitality operation, international business, information technology and tourism management.
Initial certificates in teaching in primary and secondary education were awarded to TIOE graduates.
Meanwhile, trade certificates in electrical engineering, automotive light vehicle, fitting and machinery and carpentry were awarded to TIOE graduates.
Most of the graduates will be seeking jobs next year, while some are already employed.
