Taina Halasima sprints in 100m prelims at Olympic Stadium [1]

Tongan athlete Taina Halasima finished 6th in the Athletics, Women's 100m Preliminary Round Heat 2 at the Olympic Stadium, Rio 2016, today August 13 with a time of 12:80 seconds.

The preliminary rounds were held before the first rounds, with the top two sprinters in each preliminary qualifying for Round 1.

Two Pacific Islands sprinters made it into Round 1. Patricia Taea from Cook Islands  qualified with 12.30 and Sisila Seavula from Fiji qualified with 12.34, before being eliminated.
