Steve Mafi signs for French club Castres [1]

‘Ikale Tahi lock Steve Mafi has been signed by French club Castres to play in the next season of the French Top 14 tournament. The Australian born 26 year-old currently plays for the Perth based Western Force in the Super Rugby competition.
Standing at 6 foot and 7 inches, Steve Mafi is one of the 'Ikale Tahi’s tallest players. He has 17 caps for Tonga and played for the Leicester Tigers for 4 years. Steve will join Castres on a 2 year contract.
Two other ‘Ikale Tahi prospects have also been signed by Castres. The players are 26 year-old loose forward Ma’ama Vaipulu of the Waikato Chiefs and 26 year-old winger Afusipa Taumoepeau of the Melbourne Rebels.
