Latu Makaafi scores 17 tries in RFU Championship [1]

Former ‘Ikale Tahi and Doncaster Knights flanker Latu Makaafi (33) is the second highest try scorer in the 2015-2016 RFU Championship, England’s second division tournament. According to the end of season statistics, Latu scored 17 tries in 22 appearances for the Doncaster Knights and was only two tries away from top try scorer Paul Grant of Nottingham.

The Doncaster Knights have qualified for the Semi-finals of the Championship and are scheduled to play the Yorkshire Carnegie this Sunday May 8.

Latu, who hails from the village of Faleloa in Foa Island, made one appearance for the ‘Ikale Tahi in 2003. He has been playing for the Doncaster Knights since 2014 and has become a stand out player in the RFU Championship.
