Inquest confirms electrocution in 'Eua [1]

An inquest has confirmed that Lingi Hafoka (52) died from electrocution at his home in Ta’anga, ‘Eua on Thursday night, 17 March.

Police in Nuku’alofa said the inquest was held on Saturday, 19 March at the hospital.

The victim is said to have turned on the outside light of his house, a 4ft tube. When the light did not come on, he went to check and touched the bulb causing the electrocution.
